New roommate! and summer job?

Today I went apartment hunting with my new roommate! Man, I've gotta say... the state of the economy is even benefitting me as a measly apartment-renter. There are definitely some pretty good deals right now! 

Before I tell you about my day, I'd like you to meet my new roommate:

That's my friend Ryan. She's a fellow Horned Frog Alum and she also majored in Speech Pathology. She's been cheering for the Dallas Cowboys for the past 2 years so she's going to be starting grad school at UTD (where I'm about to graduate from!!!!) next January. She's probably one of the funniest and loudest people I've ever met. I usually have sore stomach muscles after hanging out with her! Anyways, I'm suuuper excited that we'll be roommates next year and I hope that you all get to meet her!

So... we visited 4 different complexes today and narrowed it down to one apartment in 2 different complexes and if we make our decision by tomorrow we get one month of free rent. (Ummmm.... JACKPOT!) Oh, and in one of them we also get a free queen size mattress and box spring. These apartments must seriously be struggling if they're now giving away free beds! (Not gonna lie though, it's a major selling point for Ryan who has NO furniture whatsoever!) So... we're pondering the options tonight (one is a bit more expensive but has a lot of added benefits) and hoping to head into one of them tomorrow and sign the papers! Can't wait to get this taken care of and get it checked off the ever-growing t0-do list. 

Oh, and I have a potential summer job! I'm hoping to square it away tonight or tomorrow so I should get to check another thing off the list pretty soon here! I'll post details once I know for sure! :) No need to jump the gun!

Growing up sure requires a lot of work - but I honestly am really relieved by the way that things seem to be falling into place!
