Catch-up!

I'M ALIVE! I know you were probably worried sick. ;-) Goodness, what a crazy busy couple of weeks it's been! Let me catch you up:

• My car overheated on the way home from work ON MARCH 4TH! and has been in the shop since. Apparently, it is very difficult to find a replacement for an 'intake manifold' on a Saturn (as Saturn no longer exists) - MAJOR shout-out to my amazing sister for making sacrifices so that we could carpool all week! It wasn't always easy, but it worked out pretty well despite the circumstances.

• Went to a fancy dinner at Hector's with Danielle, thanks to a Groupon I picked up a few months ago. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! It feels so good to splurge on a fancy dinner every once in a while. As good as the pork and filet mignon options looked I decided to branch out and choose something I couldn't get elsewhere... 

                 ...and boy am I glad I did! It was incredible! After dinner we went out to J. Black's and her roommate, Katy met up with us for a few drinks. It was a really fun night!

 

• It's SPRING BREAK! Work was SUPER busy the past couple of weeks, but I made it! I'll be relaxing (and probably COOKING!) all week and then heading home to Austin next Thursday - Sunday! SO looking forward to going home! The forecast looks BEAUTIFUL this week - I hope to spend lots of time outside!

• Yesterday was the big St. Patty's Day parade in Dallas. My friend Sarah and I did the Dash Down Greenville 5K in the morning. Despite a slow start due to crowds, we kept a quick (for me!) pace and finished strong! We passed up the free beer at the end to head home and freshen up for the big parade. I LOVE that we live walking distance to the parade. We spent a few hours watching the parade, and I was happily napping on the couch by the afternoon :)

Now that I'm all caught up, it should be much easier to stay on top of blogging... because I know you're just always on pins and needles waiting for my next post! (I kid.) Happy Spring Break to those of you who get one!! And if you don't... remember that your salary more than makes up for the fact that I get spring and summer break.
